2021 Race & Serve for Education

Total contributions exceed $71,000!

More than 5,000 letters were carefully copied, sorted and mailed out in January for our annual Race & Serve for Education fundraiser.  Every student from Kindergarten through 12th grade participated this year!  To date, we have received more than $71,000, which far surpasses our $55,000 goal!  This is a fun and creative opportunity for all of our students to work together, learning to encourage and challenge one another, and develop hearts of service.  We are so thankful for the support of our students' family, friends and community!

Race for Education (PK-5): February 8, 9 & 10, 2021

Serve for Education (MS/HS) – May 28, 2021

In 2020, we exceeded our $55,000 goal! We are grateful to the LORD for his faithful provisions through our generous sponsors who contributed over $60,000 to last year's Race & Serve for Education.

Race & Serve for Education has brought in $797,000 to support Belleville Mennonite School since its inception in 2003!  Race is a jog-a-thon involving PreK-5th grade students running or walking around the gym for a designated time period. Middle and high school students will take part in a serve-a-thon by volunteering their time and hands in the community.  In recent years, students have volunteered in Lewistown at the Lumina Center, Shelter Services, here in Belleville at Valley View Retirement Home, with community clean-up efforts and families in need, as well as with preparation for our Annual Auction. Fundraisers like Race & Serve for Education allow BMS to subsidize tuition for each of our families.  Additionally, the money that is raised through this fundraiser goes to pay for technology software and equipment, materials for the Bible curriculum, library books, funds to send our students to spelling bees and speech meets, teacher salaries and benefits, and more. We are grateful for the outpouring of generosity for this fundraiser each year and give God the glory for His provisions.
