Tribute to Mr. Bob Zook

During the final week of school, we honored Mr. Bob Zook who is retiring after 20 years at BMS!
“Mr. Bob,” as he is affectionately known by students & staff, has served most recently as Director of Technology and taught HS Bible, along with a variety of 6th-12th grade computer and tech classes.

Thank you Mr. Bob!

  • for being a great teacher
  • for always being fun to talk to
  • for being patient & kind
  • for fixing our computers
  • for explaining how to code with micro bots and Legos
  • for playing Wordle with us
  • for being an amazing pastor

Senior Quinn Renno reflected on Tech and Bible classes that he had with Mr. Bob over the years.  “In tech classes, he let us explore and experience what we were interested in.  He came alongside us and helped us. Technology is evolving, and it’s been fun to learn new things with him. Bible class has been a great experience. I left every class having learned something while also being encouraged or challenged. Mr. Bob provided valuable perspectives, respected our views, but most importantly encouraged us to dig deeper into the word of God.”

Mr. Bob shared, “There is a love that God has placed in my heart for each of you, and it’s going to be really, really fun to see how God is going to be working in your lives through the years ahead.  And that is what teaching is about, because you guys are going to take it to the next level.  That’s what I’m going to miss, BUT I’m going to enjoy coming back to BMS to see my grandchildren and watch you guys continue to grow up.”

Mr. Bob, we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to teaching the truth and growing with us as technology has changed each year! We pray the Lord will continue to strengthen you and bless your ministry!
