At Belleville Mennonite School we make every effort to help our students develop leadership skills that will help them to become responsible and productive members of society. Student senate is a great way for our students to gain these skills and we try to provide as many opportunities as possible. These leadership opportunities can range from organizing Spirit Week activities to volunteering at local organizations.
Student senate is made up of a diverse group of high school students that have chosen to be involved because they have a desire to improve the school’s overall environment. By being involved in student senate, our students gain valuable experience with organizing events and being positive role models for those around them. Our student body looks to the senate to provide school spirit and excitement about school events and we are proud of the example these students set for those around them.
