For our youngest learners, it all starts here...

Belleville Mennonite School's Pre-Kindergarten program provides an environment in which each child finds an opportunity to develop personally, socially, academically and spiritually.  Our PreK teacher, Mrs. Zook, has an educational background including both a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Master’s degree in education.  Additionally, she is certified in Early Childhood Education.

Our preschool classes take special field trips to local businesses, the post office and farms.  They even have the chance to ride a school bus in preparation for their transition to Kindergarten!  

Pre-Kindergarten Options.  BMS offers a 2-day and a 3-day preschool program.  2-day Preschool is Monday & Wednesday, 8:30-11:00 am.  Our 3-day Preschool option is, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30-11:00 am.

We also offer an afternoon Pre-K, PA Pre-K Counts which is Monday-Friday, from 11:45-2:45 pm.  

Eligibility Requirements
Children must reach the age of four or three prior to September 1st. Children must also be independent in toilet and bathroom habits.  Please note we are licensed to take three year olds in addition to taking four year olds. 

A Typical Day at BMS Pre-Kindergarten includes:

  • Bible time (stories, Bible verses)
  • Prayer time


Children learn basic skills, such as:
